Live Again Devotions

Day #10

“Aligning Death With Life”

2 Kings 4:34–35 (NKJV)

34) And he went up and lay on the child, and put his mouth on his mouth, his eyes on his eyes, and his hands on his hands; and he stretched himself out on the child, and the flesh of the child became warm.

35) He returned and walked back and forth in the house, and again went up and stretched himself out on him; then the child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes.

After the Shunammite woman was miraculously given a son, her son died.  God used Elisha in both instances; to prophetically speak the birth of a son to her and to bring the son back from death to life.

When the lively prophet laid himself on the dead child, the child was brought back to life.  When we align the dead things in our lives to something that has life, the dead things will begin to LIVE AGAIN.

The prophet did this.  He aligned his mouth to the mouth of the dead son.  When we use our mouths to speak words of life to the dead things of our life, they will LIVE AGAIN.  It’s time to prophesy life to the things that have died in our lives.  When we do, breath will come into the lungs of those lifeless relationships, aspirations and hopes.  So, align your words to speak life!

He also aligned his eyes to the dead son’s eyes.  When we align our spiritual eyes to the eyes of death, we will see the vision of dead things coming to life again.  Get a picture in your spiritual eyes of those dead dreams, goals and ambitions being resurrected again.  Let your spiritual eyes see things LIVE AGAIN!

He also aligned his hands to the dead son’s hands.  To see dead things live again, we must put our hands to work.  Align your lively hands to dead works.  The Bible says that “Faith without works is dead!” (James 2:26).  Get your hands dirty in the works of faith and see those dead things LIVE AGAIN!
