Live Again Devotions

Day #15

“Prophecy To Dead Bones”

Ezekiel 37:4–5 (KJV)

4) Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.

5) Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:

This valley of dry bones was a dreary and depressing place, scattered with the remains of eerie dry bones.  There must have been a very violent, catastrophic encounter that had created this great chaos, death, destruction, misery, and pain in this valley.

But in the middle of this dismal perspective God commands Ezekiel to prophesy.  Prophesy by commanding the dead bones to listen to the Word of the Lord.  “Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live…”

I’m not sure what devastating incident has taken place in your life, that has caused things to die.  That’s not where your story ends.  God is commanding you to prophecy to those dead bones in your scary valley.  Prophesy using the Word of God because the Word of God is powerful.  The Word of God will transmit life into lifeless situations, and they will live again.  But you have to prophesy using the Word of God.

Prophecy is an anointed declaration foretelling of a supernatural occurrence that will take place.  In short, prophesying is speaking miracles into existence.

Next time you find yourself in the heat of your prayer or in an anointed atmosphere (like a church service), begin to prophesy under the anointing that is there, to those dead things which need to be raised to life again.

Prophesy to the dead bones of your life, so that they may LIVE AGAIN!
