Live Again Devotions

Day #21

“Remain Alive”

1 Thessalonians 4:17 (KJV) Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Even though this scripture is referring to the rapture of the church, there are two words that stand out to me:  ALIVE & REMAIN.

We have had 21 days of believing God to bring life to dead things in our lives.  We have believed for our sinner friends to be BORN AGAIN, for our dear prodigals to come HOME AGAIN and for the dead things in our lives to LIVE AGAIN.  God has moved and brought many of these things to life.  We are rejoicing with a heart of thanksgiving!  Glory be to God!

Though our LIVE AGAIN Initiative ends today, we must make sure that those things which have been brought to life, remain alive!  We must think, speak, and act ALIVE in our Christian devotion.  This must be our new lifestyle, our new way of life … to REMAIN ALIVE!

Even though 1 Thessalonians 4:17 refers to our physical state, I would like to spiritualize it and refer to it as our spiritual state.  If we remain alive in our spiritual state until the rapture of the church, we will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.  We must not sleep in this Endtime hour but remain awake and alive as the end draws nearer.

Romans 13:10–12 (KJV)

11)  And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

12)  The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

As we continue to remain alive, it will influence other dead areas of our lives.  Life is stronger than death and light is stronger than darkness.

So, keep the fire burning and REAMIN ALIVE!
